Postal stationery | Stamped envelopes | Postal cards

Postal stationery is a stationery item, such as a stamped envelope, letter sheet, postal card, lettercard, aerogram or wrapper, with an imprinted stamp or inscription indicating that a specific rate of postage or related service has been prepaid. They should not be confused with envelopes or postcards, on which stamps are not imprinted, but pasted.

Here you can find information about pre-stamped envelopes and postcards, the stamps or illustrations of which contain images of bison or wisent.

Pre-stamped envelopes or postal cards are issued postal authority with a printed or embossed indicium indicating the prepayment of postage.

Such a stamp repeats the image of an already issued postage stamp (usually definitive) or has an original design and is not issued separately. In addition to the stamp, an illustration may be placed on the address side of the pre-stamped envelope. A stamped postcard may have an illustration as on the address side as the flip side (a two-sided postal card).
