The image on the souvenir sheet was combined from stock images of the Belarusian animal artist Elena Faenkova. The souvenir sheet contains a very rouge error. The animal named Megalonyx jeffersonii is not a giant sloth, but a chalicotherium (in this case Chalicotherium grande) is a representative of another family, from another time (from the Miocene, not from the Holocene) and from another continent (Europe, not North America). | ||
